Potty training cont.

Ava has been doing so well at potty training. She went to bed tonight wearing the same diaper she woke up in AND took a nap in. Aka: she's not peeing in her sleep. She had no accidents today and she even went #2 in the toilet and got a watch (Ava calls is a clock) dad picked up in China. I'm a very proud mommy today but I don't think it's anything I'm doing, I believe she's learning to listen to her body and lucky for me her body is talking. I'm trying to not get too excited because she has only told me a few times that she has to go and it's actually been me telling her to sit on the potty at regular intervals that has eliminated the accidents. What I'm trying to say is she's not fully trained but I'm VERY excited about her progress.

Jumpy Jumper

We all love the jumper!! Lacey just started using it and she simply loves it. She spins a lot but is also figuring out how to bend her knees and push off the ground to get a little jump. Lacey is not the only one using it. Elmo and Dolly as well as Ava love it too.

4 months old

We did it! We made it to four months. While I'm worrying immensely about how I'm going to get any sleep (she's growing out of her swaddle and the pacifier does not stay in if she's not swaddled and she does not sleep if the pacifier is not in therefore sleep is a worry) Lacey is such a fun baby. She's always talking and smiling. She makes great eye contact and has to before she'll smile at you (unless you're Ava). Lacey loves her big sister soo much. Maybe it's cause Ava will run up to her and squeeze her cheeks and say "hello cutie pie". It's so sweet, I just love it!
Lacey tries really hard to get out of the bumbo, but has yet to do it. She has figured out how to turn her body but not the "over" yet. She can grab things right in front of her and she loves holding her knees when she's on her back...so funny! We just love our cutie pie.

Filled it!

Ava filled up her potty chart today and earned her sunglasses!!! She actually could have gotten it a couple of days ago but she had no interest so I was not pushing her. Soo proud of my Ava girl! She is not fully trained but we are on the road. We have no accidents as long as I remember to set the timer.

First real hair cut

Ava has gotten trims before but never a real hair cut. Today we said fair well to the mullet. Why was this hair cut so hard for the mom?

Imagine Children's Museum

Ava, Lacey and I went with Collin, Kelsey and Marin to the museum today. Best museum EVER! Take a look at the pictures and see how much fun we had.

Spoke too soon...kind of

We are still doing great but we had an accident. I say "we" cause I should have noticed she was making a poo (I or anyone looking for that matter can tell). I'm not discouraged. I'm doubly not discouraged cause she did not go #2 yesterday so at least she went :-)
She's not a runny pooer so that is GREAT for me!
I know she recognizes when she goes pee and I'm thinking she does not for poo. Not sure how to teach that so we'll see if it's something she just picks up.
