Spoke too soon...kind of

We are still doing great but we had an accident. I say "we" cause I should have noticed she was making a poo (I or anyone looking for that matter can tell). I'm not discouraged. I'm doubly not discouraged cause she did not go #2 yesterday so at least she went :-)
She's not a runny pooer so that is GREAT for me!
I know she recognizes when she goes pee and I'm thinking she does not for poo. Not sure how to teach that so we'll see if it's something she just picks up.

We are doing it!!

I've been putting potty training off because I'm scared (not Ava, me). She has been showing signs of being ready for a couple months but I've been dragging my feet cause its a lot of responsibility. I've just barely gotten used to leaving the house with two kids let alone remembering to have one of them go potty before we step out the door. I decided Tuesday that Wednesday was going to be the day. Then I woke up Wednesday and realized I had a dentist appointment that day and would not be able to run Ava to the bathroom every half hour. Sooo...Thursday is the day! She did start the chart on Wednesday though. One sticker for sitting on the pot and trying. Two for pee and three for poo!
It's 11:23 and we are doing great. She's peed twice and no accidents yet. It's probably like this every first day. Then the second day comes and you actually have to leave the house...scary!
All I can say is that "We are doing it"!

Mother's Day

Was a blast. Cameron took care of me with "you are loved" notes all over the house and beautiful yummy smelling flowers. Kara helped me make pad Thai which was delish. Kensie and josh came for dinner and brought the yummy jello. I got to talk to my mother and grandmother through Skype. And I can't forget about the ones that made this day possible...Ava and Lacey who are the best girls in the world. (The pictures are in no particular order.) Happy Mother's Day!!!

Stroller that I love, let me count the ways!

This is my stroller that I just love. Cameron and I are in a love hate relationship with it. I love it and he hates it. He thinks it's too heavy and bulky and I love how sturdy it is and how I can carry everything I need in it. It holds both my kids and they both seem to enjoy it. We take it to the park, the beach and even the store sometimes. Supposedly I can run with two kids in it but I have not tried it yet cause Lacey is still too small...I'll let you know how that goes. I did love it for running with one though:)

3 Months old

Lacey is getting oh so big I can't believe it. She is so content to lay on a blanket on the floor and run her legs and talk up a storm. She smiles at everyone but especially loves seeing her sister, daddy and mom. She has mastered the bumbo and does great as long as there are people to watch. She has recently discovered her thumb but it's to early to tell if she will be a thumb sucker. She still loves bath time but does not love the dressing part and might actually hate it more now then when she was smaller. She is a toe tapper. When you hold her up in a standing position she will stand on one leg and tap her other foot on the ground (pretty funny). Lacey is also getting better at sitting on the hip, she holds on so tight with her arms. It's fun cause it feels like she's doing her best to give you a hug. We love this girl so much and can't imagine this crazy life without her.

Spring

I usually share pictures of all the blooming trees but the wind got to them before I could get a picture. Instead I shot a few pictures of the blooming bushes...reminds me of Hawaii. It's funny cause the pretty ones aren't the ones you smell as you walk down the street.

At night with Lacey

At night when I go to pick Lacey up to give her the last feeding of the day I have a hard time not hugging her to death. She pulls her little limbs in turning herself into this sweet little baby ball of goodness. I end up kissing her till she arches her back in a silent request to get control of myself and stop smothering her. She is just so lovably tasty. I just had to tell you how much a love cuddle my kissable, huggable, and oh so wonderful Lacey.
